Welcome to the Wrekin Decorative & Fine Arts Society website, a member society of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies.

The Society was formed in 1974, so we celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2014. Information about the history of the Society may be found on the About Us page. Wrekin DFAS offers an eclectic range of lectures designed to inform, engage and entertain. Even those who wonder if ‘decorative and fine arts’ are really for them, will enjoy our carefully researched and balanced programme. We offer a mix of inspiring afternoon lectures, study days, visits and longer tours, covering a wide range of subjects of artistic, historical, architectural and geographical interest. Our programmes include lectures on furniture, gardens, music, theatre, literature – truly something for everyone. Indeed, sometimes the most unlikely sounding topics turn out to be the most enjoyable and memorable.

Please click on ‘Lectures’, ‘Visits' or 'Special Events’ for details of our current and recent programme.

PROGRAMME CHANGE, MONDAY 20TH FEBRUARY:

UNFORTUNATELY SUSAN RUMFITT IS INDISPOSED AND HAS HAD TO CANCEL HER LECTURE  'A  ROYAL JEWEL FOR EVERY OCCASION'. NICHOLAS MERCHANT WILL NOW GIVE A LECTURE ENTITILED 'IF YOU WANT TO GET AHEAD....GET A TIARA!'
